App Privacy Policy Generator

Answer a few questions about your app, its permissions, and what it collects, and watch your privacy policy take shape on the right. Built for App Store and Play Store submission, not a repurposed website policy.

This is a genuinely useful starting point, not a substitute for a lawyer. If your app handles health data, children's data, or payments directly, have a lawyer review what you generate here before you submit.

How to use this tool

Answer the questions on the left about your app's platform, permissions, and the services it uses. Your policy builds itself on the right as you go. Copy or download it, then paste the link into your App Store Connect or Play Console listing before you submit.

Why this matters

Both major app stores require a working privacy policy link before your app can go live, and neither one accepts a generic website policy that never mentions permissions or device data. This tool is built around what an app actually collects, camera access, location, contacts, push tokens, not cookies and web forms.

No signup. No email required. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere, this form runs entirely in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is this app privacy policy generator really free?

Yes. No signup, no email address needed, and nothing held back behind a paywall. Generate as many policies as you need.

Where does my information go when I fill out the form?

It doesn't go anywhere. Everything happens locally in your browser via JavaScript, we never see, log, or store what you type.

Will this satisfy Apple's and Google's submission requirements?

It gives you a working, hosted-ready privacy policy link, which both stores require. Google's Play Console also requires a separate Data Safety form describing what you collect, this policy doesn't fill that form out for you, but the permissions and data types you select here should match what you declare there.

What if my app is directed at children?

Checking that box adds COPPA-relevant language, but apps for children under 13 generally need more careful compliance work than this generator alone provides. Have a lawyer review your policy specifically for COPPA if this applies to you.
