EULA Generator
Answer a few questions about your app or software and watch your End-User License Agreement take shape on the right. Free, no signup, nothing you type here leaves your browser.
How to use this tool
Answer the questions on the left about your software and how you license it. Your EULA builds itself on the right as you go. Copy or download it, then link to it from your app store listing or software installer.
Why this matters
A EULA is different from a privacy policy: it doesn't cover data collection, it covers what a user is and isn't allowed to do with your software, and it protects your intellectual property. If you're distributing an app or desktop software, app stores and most software distribution channels expect one.
No signup. No email required. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere, this form runs entirely in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
Is this EULA generator really free?
Yes, no catch. No account, no email capture, no premium tier waiting behind a paywall.
Where does my information go when I fill out the form?
Nothing here touches a server. The whole thing runs in your browser, so what you type stays on your device.
What's the difference between a EULA and a privacy policy?
A privacy policy discloses what data you collect and why. A EULA covers licensing terms: what a user is allowed to do with your software, who owns the intellectual property, and what happens if the license is violated. Most apps need both, covering different things.
Do app stores require a EULA specifically?
Apple provides a standard EULA by default unless you supply your own, and Google doesn't strictly require one but strongly recommends it. Either way, having your own gives you more control over licensing terms than the platform default.
Is the generated agreement legally binding?
This assembles a starting-point document from your answers using plain-language templates. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer for your specific software, and we're not a law firm. For complex licensing situations, have a lawyer review it.
What's actually the difference between a EULA and other agreements?
See what is a EULA for the full explanation, including how it differs from terms of service and why most software needs both a EULA and a privacy policy.
I'd rather edit a document myself than fill out a form. Is there a template?
Yes, see the free EULA template for a fill-in-the-blank version.

A EULA covers licensing, not data collection. If your app also collects user data, which most do, you'll need a privacy statement too.
